Are you an experienced Bookkeeper or senior Bookkeeper ideally with experience of using Xero, looking to work 3 days a week (2 days home working and 1 day office working) for a small yet high profile charity / not for profit organisation? Are you looking to carry out a high profile role within an established and well respected professional membership association with a turnover of £2m? Are you looking for a role which is part time, working three days a week with 2 days spent working from home and the other day working in the office (Zone 1 Central London)? Reporting into the head of finance, your role will be hands on and include: managing and recording all financial transactions of the business, journal entries, maintaining the sales ledger and purchase ledger, bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations, general ledger management, banking, making payments, staff expenses, credit control, weekly and monthly reporting to management, closing the sales ledger and purchase ledger at the end of each month, ensuring all month end journals are posted and any other duties as required by the organisation. If you have experience of VAT returns and management accounts preparation, you can also be in charge of these extra duties. The firm uses Xero and Hubdoc.
To be considered for this newly created role (September 2024), it is likely you will be an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a part time role working three days a week. You must live within commutable distance to Zone 1 London and ideally you will have experience of using Xero software. You must also be able to work in a cloud based environment as all systems and processes are utilised using Xero. It would be beneficial if you have worked for another professional membership organisation or charity / not for profit organisation, although an interest in this sector is fine. The firm are based in an easily accessible location in Zone 1 Central London and you must be happy to work in the office one day a week.
